Double Digits

Okay, I am so close to double digit comments, I can taste it.

Two posts---Well Received and Billy Don't Be a Hero---garnered me 9 comments. I'm relatively new to blogging so I guess I can't complain. But man, I'm so close to that elusive double digit ten.
Ah, to have 10 comments.

I'd love to steal Sue's statement on comments. She says,

"If You Choose Not to Comment...
...that's fine - just be aware that I may die. Really. Because every person who reads without commenting kills off another little piece of my SOUL. I just wanted you to know. So you can, you know, have a clear conscience at my funeral. Which might be soon. No pressure though."

And I second her sentiment when she wrote this.

But I won't steal her statement about comments. I'm not ready to guilt you into it (but I'll do that soon if this doesn't work).

Instead, I'll just ask nicely. Here goes....

If you read my blog, please comment. I'd love to hear from you!

How's that for nice?

Also, I remember my first double-digit post. It was a happy day.

...double-comments *oops*, which does miraculous things!

Seriously - your writing is so lovely, you'll have tons of comments soon enough.

Have a great Halloween!

Ha! I love the killing off another piece of my soul bit.

On my family blog I resorted to begging. I mean, here I am on the other side of the world from all my family and friends. I write for them every day, the least they could do is say hello once in awhile...

I recently made it to the double digits myself. I do wish readers would realize how important comments are to us. A blog without comments is like coffee without Coffeemate Hazelnut creamer. Now I've got triple digits on one, but that's for the Fall Y'all giveaway, so it probably doesn't count.

Ummmm...I don't know what to say. I guess I just like coming to your blog and will never come again without commenting.

I had to go check---it took my four full months of blogging to get to double digits in comments (and, even now, more than a year later, I don't always achieve that). It is thrilling to see those comment numbers nudge 10; therefore, I am commenting here so that you can see your numbers go from 15 to 16!
